“My role involves looking after the staff and supporting the store manager to make sure the standard is up there and that we can give the customer what they want.
“You have a lot of responsibility. It’s a challenging role, but it’s really rewarding. The best part is to see the smile on everybody’s face – we make a difference to people coming in to do their shopping.
“I started as a part-time cashier after college. I progressed and did a duty manager course and then became a senior supervisor. They help you all the way – they see your potential and develop you. It felt amazing – for them to acknowledge your ability and help you along the way is really, really rewarding.
“I’m proud to be part of Iceland – proud to be able to give that sort of standard to our customers.”
