Q: Can I apply through this careers site for store-based roles?
A: Currently, all our recruitment for Retail Assistants goes through our stores - so please visit your local Iceland and ask the Store Manager for information about their vacancies. We do occasionally advertise store vacancies online, so it’s always worth having a look to see if there is anything here. All our Head Office support and Management positions are always advertised this careers site.
Q: I've heard there's a new store opening close to me - where can I find out about any job opportunities there?
A: We have a ‘New Store Opening’ page on this site that has all our New Store information. Just click on the ‘New Stores Opening’ link to find out more.
Q: Can I apply if I don't have a full work-permit?
A: No. We can only consider applications from those with a full and valid permit to work in the UK.
Q: What can I expect at an interview?
A: Friendly people and lots of questions! We are interested in getting to know you and will want to know about your work experience, skills and career goals. Always remember though, interviews are a two way process - so we’ll expect lots of questions from you too and will be happy to answer them.
Q: Do you have summer/Christmas vacancies available?
A: We often have temporary/seasonal opportunities available. To find out about the opportunities in your area, please contact your local Store Manager. If you’re not sure where your nearest store is, check out our ‘Store Finder’.
Q: Can I email Iceland with a question, or to follow up my application?
A: If you would like an update on your application and have applied on this careers site, you can check your status on your online account. If you have applied directly to a store, unfortunately our Store Managers are only able to contact you if you are successful in getting to the next stage.
