It’s important, however, that anyone joining Iceland is given support through their first few weeks with the business, irrespective of their role. If you join one of our stores you’ll be given a 12 week induction programme that covers important areas such as an introduction to Iceland, store procedures, Health & Safety, food hygiene and basic skills.
If you have set your sights on perhaps a management role or want to move into a different part of the business, you will find tailored training and development plans to help develop the technical and people skills needed to get to the next level.
And just one of an impressive list of training and development programmes, our Trainee Manager Programme is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to manage your own store in six months to two years.
Whatever your level, everyone in Iceland has a Training Record Card to ensure they have a complete record of their training - not that there’s any pressure to progress.
